Book reviews are very helpful at these times when we need to find a good book but don’t know if one is good or if one is bad. This is my very first book review. Today I’m doing a review on a classic, Charlotte’s Web.

A little info on the book before I begin reviewing. E.B White wrote the story Charlotte’s Web and he published it in 1952. The story starts off with a pig named Wilbur. This pig, Wilbur is in danger of losing his life but Fern, the farmer’s daughter saves him. The story goes on with Wilbur’s life as he meets Charlotte, a beautiful spider, who teaches him purpose and that he is “Some Pig”. This is the premise of the story, I won’t spoil anymore for those who have not read it.

I will be basing my review on two things. The first being the story line and how well things flow throughout it and the second being readability and what age would be best for this book. I may add other things along the way. Let’s get started.

Story Line and Flow

The starting of Charlotte’s Web is a little traumatic but not to bad, as it shows bravery in a dire situation. It then goes to tell you just how much someone cares about someone (Fern to Wilbur, or Wilbur to Charlotte). This story does have little tiny fill ins to get to some of the bigger parts. Overall the story line is pretty great, with every wit and detail that E.B White has he put into it. The flow is a little bit different, don’t get me wrong that E.B White is a good writer, but Charlotte’s Web is slow. It has it’s action parts but other then that it is slow. Overall it’s a great story with great characters and great development throughout the book.

Readability and Age

The readability is great and understandable. If you have the kind of book that I have the words are medium size, and not small like a bigger novel. It is easy to understand the story . The story is not too complicated, it’s more simple and that’s what makes it very readable for children. I say the age for this book, would be at the staring age probably 7 and any age above who enjoys a good classic.

Overall View

My overall view of this book is pretty good. There are very few things wrong with it. In my opinion this book should not be a miss and should be a must read if your a classic book reader. This book has lots of charm and amazing characters and would also be the the perfect read for your child.

I love this book and would give it a 9/10. I hope you enjoyed this book review and get the chance to read Charlotte’s Web.

Have an amazing day
